ComfiSkin vs your Notes app

Plenty of people keep their skincare routine in a note. It works, right up until it doesn’t: a clash you didn’t spot, a sunscreen past its best, a cream you bought twice. ComfiSkin does the thinking a note can’t, for free.

  1. AM: cleanser, vit c, moisturiser, spf
  2. PM: retinol mon/wed/fri tue
  3. not with the acid toner (which nights?)
  4. opened sunscreen march? feb april?
  5. vit c serum broke me out
  6. new cream = same as mine? check
  7. what is butylene glycol

The short answer

A note can’t count, compare or check. It won’t notice your retinol and acid toner on the same night, won’t warn you that your sunscreen is past its best, and won’t stop you buying a cream you already own. Every one of those mistakes costs you money or a night of irritated skin.

What that means: every question in your note is still a question, and you’re the one who has to remember the answers. ComfiSkin answers them for you, and it’s free too.

A note remembers. It doesn’t think.

A note is a fine place to write down what you use and when. The trouble starts when it fills up with questions: which nights the retinol goes on, whether the toner clashes with it, when the sunscreen was opened, whether the new cream does the same job as the old one. A note can hold every one of those questions. It can’t answer any of them.

So you end up doing the work, every time. Remembering, checking, comparing, guessing. And when you guess wrong, the cost is real: a serum used past its best, an evening of stinging skin, a second bottle of something you already own. Small costs, again and again.

ComfiSkin starts from the same information, your products and the nights you use them, and does the thinking for you.

What that means for you: the note keeps the problem written down. ComfiSkin solves it.

It checks your whole week

Add what you use in the morning and evening, and on which nights. ComfiSkin looks across the week and flags any evening where two strong products land together, like an exfoliating toner and a retinol serum, then offers to move one of them to a clear night with one tap.

Tell it once which ingredients you avoid, like fragrance or the serum that broke you out, and every product you scan afterwards is checked against that list. The note remembers that something didn’t agree with you. ComfiSkin catches it in the next bottle you pick up, before it goes on your face.

What that means for you: fewer evenings of stinging skin, and no more re-buying the thing that broke you out.

It remembers what you’d forget

Note the day you open a product and ComfiSkin works out when it’s past its best and reminds you before then. It tells you when you’re running low and shows which shops in your country sell it, cheapest first.

Before you buy something new, scan it and ComfiSkin compares it with your shelf, so you know if you already own something that does the same job. Every ingredient comes with a short, plain explanation, so “what is butylene glycol” doesn’t need its own line any more. It even checks the UV forecast where you are each day, cloudy days included, and tells you when to put sunscreen on.

What that means for you: no more sunscreen that has quietly stopped doing its job, and no more money spent on duplicates.

Moving your routine in

  1. Scan what’s on your shelf. Point your camera at each product’s barcode or label.
  2. Set your mornings and evenings. Choose the nights for your strong products, and ComfiSkin checks the week for clashes as you go.
  3. Add the opened dates you remember. Guess the rest. A guess with a reminder beats a question mark with none.
