Which Eucerin cream do you mean?
Original Healing, pH5 and UREA REPAIR Rich Face Cream have different ingredients, intended uses and directions. The brand name alone does not identify the formula, which is an ambitious amount of ambiguity for a jar of moisturizer.123

Which one fits the job?
For very dry body skin, Original Healing is the relevant Eucerin option here. It helps prevent moisture loss and provides 24 hours of moisture. For sensitive skin on both the face and body, pH5 is designed to moisturize immediately and support the skin's protective barrier. For a dry, tight face at night, UREA REPAIR Rich Face Cream uses urea and lactate to bind moisture and reduce roughness. These are different jobs, not three spellings of the same cream.123
What should you check before switching?
- 1Read the full name on your Eucerin container and your Minerin container, rather than comparing the brand names alone.
- 2Compare the ingredient lists on the actual packaging. Eucerin updates ingredients regularly, and its website and packaging can differ.
- 3Check any ingredient percentages printed on both labels. Sharing an ingredient is not the same as matching its strength.
- 4Compare the application area and directions. A body cream used daily and a facial cream used every evening are not automatically interchangeable.
What about the older Canadian Eucerin Creme?
The Canadian Eucerin Creme entry with DIN 02029669 lists 18.95% mineral oil and 20.5% petrolatum. Its status is Cancelled Post Market, dated June 26, 1998. Those percentages belong to that specific historical product entry, not automatically to today's US Original Healing cream or either of the other Eucerin creams above. To check whether Minerin matches that older formula, you need Minerin's exact label, including its ingredient strengths.4
If your skin is sensitive
For pH5 Cream, Eucerin advises testing repeated applications inside the elbow before applying it widely. Do not continue applying it if redness, swelling or itching develops. If your dryness is worsening or you are unsure what is causing it, ask a pharmacist or dermatologist. UREA REPAIR Rich Face Cream was not designed or tested for children.23
