The short answer

Skin Rocks closed its app on 8 August 2026, with about four weeks’ notice. Subscribers were told to cancel through Apple or Google themselves and to ask the stores for any refund. The closure notice said nothing about user accounts, skin profiles or deleting data, and the app’s privacy policy said data is deleted only “After 5 years”.

What that means: your routine is gone, and your data may still be sitting somewhere for years. Start again in ComfiSkin, where everything stays on your phone, with a backup you control.

What the closure notice said, and didn’t

The notice on the Skin Rocks website said: “The app will cease to operate on the 8th of August 2026.” Access ended at your renewal date or on 6 August, whichever came first. Subscribers were told to cancel through Apple or Google themselves, and refunds were left to the app stores, because “all purchases and payments are managed externally”.1

What it didn’t mention was what happens to your account, your skin profile or your saved products. The app’s privacy policy says data is deleted “After 5 years”.2 So the app is gone, but what you told it may not be.

What that means for you: if you used Skin Rocks, you may want to ask the company directly to delete your data.

Keep your next routine somewhere it can’t be switched off

When an app keeps your routine on its servers, your history lasts only as long as the company keeps the app running. ComfiSkin saves your skin profile, shelf, routines, check-ins and photos on your phone. There’s no account and no subscription, so there’s nothing to switch off. Export a password-protected backup whenever you like.

And it does more than a list: it checks every product against your skin, warns you when two strong products land on the same night, and reminds you when something is past its best.

What that means for you: no company decision can take your routine away again.

Starting again

  1. Check that your Skin Rocks subscription really is cancelled in your Apple or Google account.
  2. Ask Skin Rocks to delete your data if you’d rather it wasn’t kept.
  3. Scan your shelf into ComfiSkin and set up your mornings and evenings. It takes one evening.
