The SKIN1004 version here is Hyalu Cica Water Fit Sun Serum UV, with avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene as its sunscreen actives. Check the name and ingredients on your bottle before treating another version as interchangeable.12

Which should you pick for oily skin?

Choose Aqua Fresh if you want Beauty of Joseon's lighter option rather than the original cream. Choose SKIN1004 if you want a hydrating, watery sunscreen, especially when makeup catches on dry patches. Aqua Fresh has a dewy finish, so 'fresh' is not a secret code for matte. SKIN1004 also leaves a luminous finish; neither description makes it the obvious choice for someone seeking a flat matte look.123

Do not confuse hydration with oil control. SKIN1004 includes this sunscreen in a routine marketed for oily skin, but the excess sebum claims belong to the azelaic acid ampoule and toner pads. The sunscreen's role is UV protection and hydration. Buying the sunscreen alone is not buying the oil control claims of the whole set.5
