Can I use COSRX Snail 92 Cream in the morning?

How do I apply it?

1. 1Cleanse first. If you use the COSRX Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser, gently massage it onto wet skin and rinse thoroughly with tepid water.
2. 2Apply your essence next, if you use one. COSRX places Snail 96 Essence before eye cream and Snail 92 Cream in its snail kit routine.
3. 3Apply Snail 92 Cream evenly, avoiding the eye area. COSRX tells you to use a proper amount rather than giving a measured dose.

What is the cream doing?

Its role here is moisturising. COSRX describes snail secretion filtrate as replenishing moisture, supporting the skin barrier and soothing sensitised skin after breakouts. Keep that purpose separate from sun protection: choose your sunscreen for its labelled SPF, broad spectrum protection and water resistance.12

Is Snail 92 Cream the same as Snail 96 Essence?

The cream and the essence are separate products, despite names that look like entries in the same spreadsheet. If you use both, the essence goes first and the cream follows later in COSRX's routine. Directions for the essence are not interchangeable with directions for the cream.14

Which sunscreen should I use with it?

Start with the three essentials above, then narrow the choice to your needs.

• For oily or acne prone skin, look for "noncomedogenic" or "won't clog pores" on the sunscreen label.
• For dry skin, look for "moisturizing" or "dry skin" on the label.
• For sensitive skin, choose a sunscreen labelled for sensitive skin and avoid fragrance, parabens and oxybenzone.
• If sunscreen stings or burns, choose one containing only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, and avoid fragrance.
