What ingredients are in Innisfree sunscreen?

This is a chemical sunscreen, not Innisfree's mineral sunscreen. The US SPF 50+ formula is made without oxybenzone and octinoxate. Its broad spectrum label means protection against both UVA and UVB rays, while SPF measures protection against sunburn.14

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract is the green tea ingredient, and Centella Asiatica Extract is cica. Innisfree describes green tea as hydrating, sunflower seed oil as nourishing and cica as soothing. Fragrance / Parfum, limonene and linalool also appear in the formula, so this is not a fragrance free sunscreen.1

Which Innisfree sunscreen do you have?

Daily UV Defense is sold as SPF 50+ in the US and SPF 30 in Malaysia, so the name alone is doing less identification work than it appears to be. The Malaysian SPF 30 features green tea and sunflower seed oil and has a dewy finish. Do not use the US active ingredient percentages as the ingredient list for that bottle.12

Malaysia's Hyaluron Moist Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++ is another chemical formula. It contains eight types of hyaluronic acid and aloe extract, plus madecassoside, Houttuynia Cordata, allantoin, panthenol, propolis extract, tocopherol and ethyl ascorbic acid. Innisfree describes a lightweight texture and a glowing, moist finish. These are featured ingredients rather than a complete ingredient list.3

What should sensitive skin check?

If you need a fragrance free formula, the US Daily UV Defense SPF 50+ is not the right match. Mineral sunscreens containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide may be less likely to irritate sensitive skin. Innisfree also sells a separate Daily UV Defense Mineral SPF 45 containing mineral zinc, hyaluronic acid and cica.56

Hyaluron Moist contains propolis, which can cause an allergic skin reaction. Its directions say to stop using it and consult a doctor if irritation occurs. For sunscreen generally, avoid damaged or broken skin, keep it out of your eyes, rinse with water after eye contact, and stop use and ask a doctor if a rash occurs.34

How to apply Daily UV Defense SPF 50+

1. 1Apply daily after moisturizer, as the last skincare step before makeup.
2. 2Spread generously and evenly over your face, neck, ears and exposed body at least 15 minutes before sun exposure.
3. 3Reapply every two hours, and after swimming or sweating.

For extended outdoor activity, choose a water resistant, broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher. Water resistance is a separate label claim, not something to assume from the SPF number.6

What ingredients are in sunscreen?

Sunscreen active ingredients include avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, among others. Different products use different combinations. Bemotrizinol, another filter protecting against UVA and UVB, became a permitted US sunscreen active ingredient in June 2026. It is not listed in this US Innisfree SPF 50+ formula.147
