Check the itemized contents and each bottle's volume before choosing a set, because "Hydrating Heroes" is a name, not a packing list. Do not assume similarly named kits have identical contents across markets, or that every set includes the moisturizer you want.5

How do you use the moisturizer?

The UK Blemish Control Moisturiser has specific directions: apply 1 to 2 pumps to cleansed skin after serum, morning and evening, smooth until absorbed, and follow with SPF in the morning. Those directions belong to that 50 ml UK product.26

What if you use acne treatment?

Benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, adapalene, tazarotene, tretinoin and prescription isotretinoin can dry and irritate skin. Daily moisturizer can help skin tolerate these treatments. Look for an exact bottle labeled oil free, noncomedogenic or won't clog pores; noncomedogenic means unlikely to block pores. BYOMA's description of the Gel Cream as suitable for blemish prone skin is not a promise that it will prevent breakouts.6

What if your skin is sensitive or very dry?

For dry skin, avoid fragrance because it can irritate. Check the exact formula rather than assuming a mini has a particular ingredient list. Do not exfoliate dry, peeling skin to remove the flakes; moisturize instead. If dryness persists or becomes painful, cracked, bleeding, stinging or very irritating, make an appointment with a dermatologist.4

Moisturizing treatments can cause persistent burning or stinging, inflamed hair follicles, or facial rashes that aggravate acne. Speak to a pharmacist, nurse or doctor if these occur.
