Which Regenerist cream are you buying?

Regenerist covers several products: the current US Micro Sculpting Cream and the UK Regenerist Day Face Cream have different formulas and advertised timelines. The US cream lists glycerin, niacinamide, panthenol and three peptides. Olay describes a light cream texture without a greasy finish. The original version contains fragrance, and a fragrance free option is available. The UK Day Face Cream features niacinamide, peptides and glycerin, with a silky finish and advertised hydration lasting 24 hours. Pick the actual formula and texture you want, rather than treating the Regenerist name as one interchangeable product.13

What results should you expect, and when?

The quickest benefit is moisture. Moisturizing traps water in the skin and can immediately plump the appearance of fine lines. That is a useful change, even before slower improvements become visible. Micro Sculpting is still a moisturizer, despite a name that sounds as though it should come with architectural drawings.4

For the US formula introduced in January 2026, Olay advertises firmer, smoother and more radiant skin in seven days, and reduced deep wrinkles by day 28. Its product page also advertises visible results in two weeks. The UK Day Face Cream promises immediate hydration, a smoother feel after one day and firmer skin over time. Treat these as product specific advertised milestones, not deadlines for your face. General wrinkle care often needs at least six weeks, sometimes three months, so assess lasting changes over that longer window.1345

No cream treats every sign of aging, and skincare improvements are usually modest. A moisturizer can soften the look of fine lines, but a facelift is not one of the services included in the jar.2

How to use Micro Sculpting Cream

1. 1Wash your face to remove makeup, dirt and oil.
2. 2If you already use serums or eye creams, apply them before the moisturizer, layering treatments from thinnest to thickest.
3. 3Gently massage a nickel sized amount of Micro Sculpting Cream across your face until absorbed. Olay directs daily use; follow your own jar's directions for other Regenerist products.
4. 4In the morning, follow with broad spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or higher. Choose water resistance for time outdoors and reapply sunscreen every two hours while outside.

Who should be careful?

Olay lists the US cream for normal, oily and dry skin. For sensitive skin, look for a formula labeled for sensitive skin rather than relying on the brand name. Before facial use, test a small amount on your inner forearm twice daily for four to five days. Stop using the cream if it stings or burns. Do not add several new wrinkle products together, because irritation can make signs of aging more noticeable. If you remain unhappy with results after a consistent trial, a dermatologist can discuss other options.124

Is it equivalent to prescription wrinkle treatment?

An older comparison involved three Olay Pro X products, including sunscreen, a night cream and a targeted treatment containing retinyl propionate, a vitamin A derivative. That combined routine improved wrinkles more than a 0.02% tretinoin routine at eight weeks, with comparable benefits at 24 weeks and better early tolerance. Those results belong to that complete Pro X routine. Today's Regenerist cream is a different purchase, so keep prescription decisions separate from choosing a moisturizer.6
