A combined moisturizer and sunscreen is a valid daily option if it provides broad spectrum coverage and SPF 30 or higher. Choose a texture suited to your skin, but keep the sunscreen application and reapplication requirements; combining two jobs does not retire either job description.23

Choose Wonder Releaf if a dewy finish is your priority, or Sun Day Adventure if you want hydration without an oily finish. Purito describes Sun Day Adventure as suitable for sensitive skin and non comedogenic, meaning formulated not to clog pores. For swimming or sweaty outdoor activity, check the exact pack's water resistance directions before choosing.14
What should the sunscreen label say?
Look for SPF 30 or higher and protection against both UVA and UVB, the two forms of ultraviolet radiation. SPF mainly describes UVB protection against sunburn; broad spectrum means the product also protects against UVA. In the UK, look for at least four star UVA protection, or the UVA circle marking that indicates the EU standard. Check the exact product sold in your country, because sunscreen regulation and labeling differ between markets.245
SPF is not a multiplier for how long you can stay outside without burning. Sun exposure depends on the strength of the sunlight as well as the time spent outside. A higher SPF does not replace shade, protective clothing or regular reapplication.45
How do you use a hydrating sunscreen?
Use this general routine alongside the directions on your exact Purito product.
- 1Cleanse before applying skincare. Use a gentle cleanser, and limit face washing to twice daily and after sweating to reduce irritation.
- 2If you use a separate moisturizer, apply the moisturizer to damp skin to help trap water. A combined moisturizer and sunscreen can keep the routine shorter.
- 3Apply sunscreen generously to exposed skin, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Remember the face, neck, ears, hairline and hands, not just the centre of your face.
- 4Allow time before going outside. General US guidance is to apply sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure. UK guidance for exposure long enough to risk burning is an application 30 minutes before going out and another just before leaving.
- 5Reapply at least every two hours outdoors. Reapply after swimming, sweating or towel drying, and whenever sunscreen has rubbed off.
Do not apply sunscreen too thinly: that reduces the protection. For an adult's whole body, UK guidance is around six to eight teaspoons; this is not a face only amount. Cover all exposed skin and follow the pack's directions rather than treating a moisturizing texture as permission to use less.5
Do you still need a separate moisturizer?
A moisturizer with sunscreen can cover both steps, so a separate morning moisturizer is not automatically necessary. Choose products formulated for your skin type: dry skin can feel flaky, itchy or rough, while combination skin has both dry and oily areas. Oily skin still needs moisturizing. If you use a separate moisturizer, applying it to damp skin helps it trap water.3
Daily moisturizer helps minimize the appearance of fine lines, and sun protection helps prevent wrinkles, age spots and skin cancer. Give a daily sunscreen and moisturizer routine a few weeks before judging visible changes. Expect modest cosmetic improvements, not the results of a facelift; a cream has a much smaller job description.23
What if your skin is sensitive?
Choose a formula labeled for sensitive skin rather than choosing on SPF alone. Sensitive skin can sting or burn after product use, and even a hypoallergenic product can cause an allergic reaction. Avoid adding several new skincare products at once: using multiple products can irritate skin and makes a simple routine needlessly complicated. If you cannot work out your skin type, a dermatologist can help you choose appropriate products.23
Can you rely on it for swimming or exercise?
Choose water resistant sunscreen if you expect to swim or sweat. No sunscreen is waterproof: all eventually wash off. US water resistance labels specify either 40 or 80 minutes of protection during swimming or sweating, so check the duration on your pack. Reapply after leaving the water and after towel drying, even when the sunscreen is water resistant. Use clothing and shade as well, and seek medical help if sunburn causes severe swelling, blisters or feeling unwell.45
How do you keep the sunscreen effective?
Keep the container out of direct sunlight and excessive heat. Check both the expiry date and any open jar symbol showing how many months the product lasts after opening. Discard expired sunscreen. Under US guidance, sunscreen without an expiry date should be considered expired three years after purchase; discard it if you do not know how old it is.45
